The Blacksmith made nails for the carpenter,chains for loggers, and made tools for the farmer. Some of the items the farmer made and fixed were hoes, chains, wagons, ploughs, axes, knives, rakes, spades, nails, axes, and hammers.
Travelers would get the Blacksmith to replace a lost shoe on their horses or to have breakages to their vehicles mended. The Blacksmith Shop was usually located at a county crossroads were a farmer could reach the shop easily from two directions. Farmers would collect on rainy days to get their odd jobs done and meet friends at the same time.
